Kayak the Mighty Mississippi

Overlook Farm has teamed up with Midwest Sea Kayak & Touring to offer a unique experience on one of the world's greatest waterways – the majestic Mississippi River. Explore the legendary river by kayak, then treat yourself to a relaxing stay at one of our historic Missouri inns. Kayak trips take approximately four hours, and include lunch, beverages, kayaks, instruction, and transportation to and from the river. All trips are subject to availability and river conditions. This one-of-a-kind experience runs $199 for one person or $275 for two, including double occupancy at one of our unparalleled Missouri inns. Call us at (573) 242-3838 or email us at kayak@overlookfarmmo.com to book your river trip and retreat.

Skeet Shooting

Not for the faint of heart, skeet shooting is a truly unique adventure – and a thrill for anyone who tries it. Hone your skills as a marksman with our clay-pigeon thrower and enjoy the healthy competition and fun that this sport provides.

Yard Games

Try your hand at horseshoes or play a relaxing game of croquet on our expansive acreage. Overlook Farm offers plenty of space to get outside and play – along with extraordinary views that will make your game truly unforgettable.

Golf

Relax and enjoy a day on the course by yourself, or challenge your friends to some competition. The golf club just outside of Clarksville affords you the chance to do it all. After the final hole, be sure to bring your filled out score card back to The Station for an Arnold Palmer on the house.

Explore Clarksville

Per capita, Clarksville is home to one of the highest amounts of skilled artisans in the country. Take a stroll down historic Main Street and see all that Clarksville has to offer. Our artisans specialize in custom jewelry, hand-thrown pottery, bent willow furniture, glass blowing, and Native American drums and relics, just to name a few. And don't forget to visit Clarksville's impressive antique mall, located right next to The Station restaurant.

Meditation Garden

There are those spaces that, when entered, one cannot help but relax and shove off all of the tensions of the day. At Overlook Farm, we like to think that every space has this effect, but one spot at Rackheath House takes peace and quiet to astonishing levels. Affectionately known as the Meditation Garden, this spot can be found beneath a beautiful weeping willow. A quiet little bench and an entrancing fountain will greet you upon arrival, blissfully urging you to sink into Nirvana.

Chess

The true “game of kings”, chess is a game enjoyed by young and old. At Overlook Farm, we have quite a passion for this game of subtlety – and it has resulted in the construction of an enormous outdoor chessboard, waiting to be found and enjoyed in the gardens of Rackheath House.

Steal a Quiet Moment

At Overlook Farm, simple days become fond memories. So stick around the inn with your friends and family and enjoy a game of croquet or badminton with a glass of your favorite ice-cold beverage. The staff at Overlook Farm will happily provide you with everything you need to turn your relaxing day into an unforgettable moment.

Soak Away the Day

Aquatic enjoyment turns any excursion into a true escape. That's why Overlook Farm offers all of its inn's guests access to our heated, outdoor pool (situated in the statue-speckled garden of Cedarcrest Manor) and indoor hot-tub (at Rackheath House, located inside the repurposed greenhouse). Splash away the day at the pool, or soak in the indoor hot tub and watch the rain or snow fall outside.
