Rackheath House and Gardens
The carefully maintained grounds surrounding Rackheath House, with the Mississippi River Valley as a backdrop, offer a variety of classic garden wedding venues. Whether beneath the shade of two century-old silver maple trees, among the blooms of an English country garden, or on the charming covered veranda,
this estate is the perfect spot regardless of the season for an outdoor wedding fête. Substitute a rock aisle flanked by wooden pews for a garden path lined with flowers and guests seated under the ceiling of a sparkling blue sky. The reception immediately following is only a grassy stroll away on the other side of the flowering cottage rose.

The Courtyard and Pavilion
The Courtyard features an expansive barn structure with details for both parties! Gold mirrors and chandeliers add a feminine touch, while gas-fire pits and hand-crafted copper top bars lend a masculine air. Italian bulb lights strung throughout the space bring a Napa Valley feel to The Courtyard. Dripping in wisteria in Spring, the original section of The Courtyard becomes an intimate space for a smaller, private affair. Additionally, the Courtyard's pavilion provides a perfect covered space for any event, with colorful chandlers, while still maintaining a rusticfeel. The third layer of The Courtyard is surrounded by roses and flanked by a wood-fire pit, the garden is perfect for a gathering of hearts and minds.

Overlook and Avalon Meadow
We call it “Vows and Wows”. The Overlook (from which the farm got itʼs name) is a spot unparalleled by any other in the Midwest. This perch sits above the Mississippi. With the charming town of Clarksville, lush farmland, and the rolling hills of the river valley unfolding below, this majestic spot is ideal for the exchange of wedding vows. Your guests will probably want to linger up here, so cocktails following the ceremony at The Overlook may be necessary. The Avalon Meadow is the perfect retreat following a ceremony overlooking the Mississippi. Bordered on one side by a row of cedar trees and on the other by a river view, the Avalon Meadow is grounded by a massive oak tree at one end, and extends up a long uninterrupted lawn to The Overlook. Globe lights strung above seated guests illuminate a notably intimate space at nightfall. Fireflies provide additional ambient lighting on midsummer evenings.
All weddings scheduled with Overlook Farm require a $3500 non-refundable deposit. All other special events will require a deposit of 1/2 of projected final invoice.
